Beneficiary - NGO FORZA, Agency for sustainable development of the Carpathian region (Ukraine) and partner Ukrainian Research Institute for Mountain Forestry named after P.S. Pasternak are going to organize the Round table in the frame of project titled “HYDROFOR: Systems of optimal forest management for enhancing the hydrological role of forests in preventing the floods in Bodrog river catchment” financed from the ENPI CBC Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013.

Date: December 1, 2015, 11:00-15:30 – Round table for forest management, environment and water management authorities “Systems of optimal forest management for enhancing the hydrological role of forests”
Venue:  Meeting room of State Enterprise “Svalyava Forest management”, 1st floor, Shevchenko str., 58, Svalyava town

The round table is aimed at presentation of the project results and outputs to forest managers and environment authorities, discussion on the proposed methods and measures to improve the forest management practices in order to prevent the floods.

The agenda of the seminar will include the following presentations and discussion topics:
•    Strengthening hydrological role of forests and the capacity of flood regulation in the watersheds of rivers  Uzh and Latorica
•    The simulation results of the hydrological situation and risk maps
•    Improvement of forest infrastructure for the strengthening the hydrological role of forest areas
•    Discussions of the HYDROFOR project recommendations for improving forest practices and strengthening the capacity of flood regulation in the watersheds of rivers  Uzh and Latorica

is going to organize a training seminar for guides and local tourism operators in Romania in the frame of the project titled “CARPATHIAN HERITAGE RAILWAYS” (HUSKROUA/1101/176) financed from the ENPI CBC Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013.

Pasternak are going to organize the Final conference in the frame of project titled “HYDROFOR: Systems of optimal forest management for enhancing the hydrological role of forests in preventing the floods in Bodrog river catchment” financed from the ENPI CBC Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013. Pasternak are going to organize the Field workshop for forest management authorities “Forest management and flood risk in the Vydranka watershed” in the frame of project titled “HYDROFOR: Systems of optimal forest management for enhancing the hydrological role of forests in preventing the floods in Bodrog river catchment” financed from the ENPI CBC Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013.

October 30, 2014: in Low Institute of Prycarpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk at 44 Shevchenka St., Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.

Who is invited for participation in the Debate Workshop:

Students of leader universities in Ivano-Frankivsk region (Ukraine), debate club coaches, professors of universities and school teachers, schoolchildren, representatives of local community involved to judging during the event (employers, local authorities, NGO etc.).

Activities during the event:

The tournament foreseen school and student’s debates, which will take place in parallel. Pupils and students will show their ability in debating through the discussion lots of important themes, propose their own concepts for solving the existing problems of employment and leisure time holding of youth, health of nation, economic and social developments etc.

The participants will offer their own concepts to solve the problems. The best speakers will take part in the international events within International Debate Tournament in Maramures (Romania). The topics for discuss during the tournament - EU member states should sanction any state that ignores ECJ rulings; Micro-finance organisations (charities, NGOs, Development Banks) should offer microfinance loans in developing nations only to women; Support doctors who refuse to take people as patients who are unvaccinated because of a religious or philosophical objection that they or their parents hold; "People Power" Protests undermine democracy more than promote it.etc.

The Debate Workshop will be one of the event promoting the role and importance debates among young people and their professors.

This event aims to make acquaintance with debate methodic of all target groups and interested sides in each target cross-border region and preparation for the local debate tournaments.

The workshop will provide target groups of the Action with the necessary skills and knowledge as far as the basis of the debate master classes - carrying out the debates tournaments for the pupils and students in each of three countries. Pupils of the workshops will be involved into activity of the international debate association.

THE BENEFICIARY “Tourist Association of Ivano-Frankivks Region” together with the project Partners - Ivano-Frankivsk City Council from Ukraine, Association “EcoLogic” and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Satu Mare County from Romania, Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Slovakia and Szamos-bazár Association from Hungary - is going to organize the Carpathian Culinary Heritage Networking Meeting in the frame of project titled Carpathian Culinary Heritage Network(HUSKROUA/1001/073) financed from the ENPI CBC Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013.

Project Partners; services and products providers within the Carpathian Culinary Heritage Trail (small-scale food producers, owners of B&Bs, farmers, guides, local product and tour operators) network participants from Ivano-Frankivsk region (Ukraine), Maramures and Satu-Mare county (Romania), Sobolc-Satmar-Bereg (Hungary), Kosice Region (Slovakia).

The Kick off Workshop for mixed group of 40 forestry managers and forestry practitioners, researchers and scientists, representatives of forestry and local administrations, protected areas, project team members from Slovakia and Ukraine and mass-media is aimed at introducing the “HYDROFOR: Systems of optimal forest management for enhancing the hydrological role of forests in preventing the floods in Bodrog river catchment” to the beneficiary groups and stakeholders.

The agenda will include the following presentations and
