Beneficiary - NGO FORZA, Agency for sustainable development of the Carpathian region (Ukraine) and Partner – National Forest Centre (Slovakia) are going to organize the fifth joint Ukrainian-Slovak field event for forestry practitioners from both countries in the frame of project titled HUSKROUA 1001/028 “Foresters towards lifelong learning for better forest management” financed from the ENPI CBC Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013.

The joint field event for 20 Ukrainian representatives of forest and hunting administrations, foresters training units and forestry practitioners, project team members from Slovakia and Ukraine is aimed at providing opportunity for across the border exchange of professional knowledge and experience on the topic of common interest – multifunctional forest managements and close to nature silviculture and promotion of the project results. The mentioned event will be primary focused on hunting management as an important part of multifunctional forestry and recreational function of forests as well.

2013 December 20. - Seminar no.4 – “Setting the final form of the most relevant indicators in economic, social environment and urban planning fields”

Beneficiary, The Intercommunity Development Association “Baia Mare Metropolitan Area”, and Partner, NGO “Center of municipal and regional development – resource center”, are going to organise the last seminar in the frame of project titled “INTER_URBAN – Cross border database with indicators for monitoring the sustainable development process of Baia Mare and Ivano Frankivsk areas” financed from the ENPI CBC Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013.

The Kick off Workshop for mixed group of 40 forestry managers and forestry practitioners, researchers and scientists, representatives of forestry and local administrations, protected areas, project team members from Slovakia and Ukraine and mass-media is aimed at introducing the “HYDROFOR: Systems of optimal forest management for enhancing the hydrological role of forests in preventing the floods in Bodrog river catchment” to the beneficiary groups and stakeholders.

The agenda will include the following presentations and discussion topics:

· HYDROFOR project introduction: goals, objectives, main activities and estimated results

· Role of Carpathian mountain forests in flood regulation and ways of its optimization

· Forest management in Slovakia with respect to hydrological role of forests

· Integrated Water Resources Management of Tisza river basin

Besides, field excursion to Polyana forest range beech forest and visit to the Water management Polyana information station is anticipated.

The workshop is linked to European forest week, celebrated throughout Europe on December 9-13, aimed at increasing the visibility of the forest sector and of its contribution to a sustainable economy.

2013 December 09. - Experts training and camp

Angel Dog Association Satu Mare (Romania) partner is going to organise a training and camp in the frame of project titled “Handing over methods for visually impaired persons’ rehabilitation, materialized already in the region of Northern Hungary, to the partners from abroad” financed from the ENPI CBC Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013.

9-16 December 2013 – Satu Mare, Romania

Between 9-11^th of December the experts from the Romanian and Ukrainian Partners (10 experts from each partner) shall participate to a three-days long preparatory training in Romania, where the participating experts working with visually impaired persons shall learn from the Hungarian experts about the topic of the fourth camp: taking orientation and mobility abilities to a higher level (crossing the street; using alone vehicles, moving staircase, elevators, and revolving doors; orientation in unknown places.)

Right after the preparatory training a 5 days camp for visually impaired persons shall be organized in the same place, between 11-16^th of December.

The main topic of the fourth camp shall be taking orientation and mobility abilities to a higher level. During the camp a street forum shall be organized, aiming to raise the compassion developed for visually impaired persons, leading to a better integration of the above mentioned into the society. Handicraft activities shall also be available for the participants during the camp.

7 visually impaired persons from each partner shall participate to the camp, a total of 21, along with the experts from the preparatory training.

The event is not open for the public.

Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Lifestyle is going to organise a workshop in the frame of project titled „BREAKING-THROUGH COOLture - European values and common future” financed from the ENPI CBC Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013.

The workshop is an event with PowerPoint presentations and more than 40 participants. The cultural heritage preservation is one of the most important purposes of any cultural institution. This program is orgenized for the participants involved in sales and commercial management. It helps participants to become more effective and more successful. The program presupposes high level of personal participation. It includes less known elements of customer motivation and can be applied in any commercial area. The salesmen and sales representatives are placed during the training in the "first line"- actual situations, which can be encountered during the sale process. They learn motivating methods of sale, while the results of the latest research are taken into account. This program increases effectiveness of sales representatives and of commercial managers as the methods and techniques offered during training can be implemented directly in practical life.

11-18 November 2013 – Project event – Experts training and camp

Uzhgorod municipal non-governmental organization of visually handicapped people «Dyvosvit» partner is going to organise a training and camp in the frame of project titled “Handing over methods for visually impaired persons’ rehabilitation, materialized already in the region of Northern Hungary, to the partners from abroad” financed from the ENPI CBC Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013.

11-18 November 2013 – Uzhgorod, Ukraine

Between 11-13^th of November the experts from the Romanian and Ukrainian Partners (10 experts from each partner) shall participate to a three-days long preparatory training in Ukraine, where the participating experts working with visually impaired persons shall learn from the Hungarian experts about the topic of the third camp: developing hearing, touch, and smell perception. The perception of sounds has a special significance for visually impaired persons. Besides learning to recognize sounds, they have to learn to learn other factors related to the sounds: their connectivity to life situations, selecting the most important sound from a multitude of sounds, finding out the sources of the sounds, etc.

The goal of these trainings is that the participants can be able to focus on different sound stimulus from the environment and use these as guides. The participant shall sense and differentiate the different objects by touching them with their hands and feet, cane. They shall sense the smell stimulus and use them as guides.

Orientation-mobility: The orientation is the capacity of determining the place and objects in the nearby, based on the joint mental processing of the data and information provided by the sensory organs and of the knowledge and experience a person already has. Moving is the planned and controlled modification of position taking into account the particularities of the environment.

Right after the preparatory training a 5 days camp for visually impaired persons shall be organized in the same place, between 13-18^th of November.

The main topic of the third camp shall be developing hearing, touch, and smell perception. The aim of orientation-moving teaching is to learn skills and techniques helping the visually impaired person to move safely and efficiently in any environment. 7 visually impaired persons from each partner shall participate to the camp, a total of 21, along with the experts from the preparatory training.

International Seminar and Festival of Martial Arts, June 14-16 2013, Uzhhorod

Association of Students-Economists of Zakarpattya together with partners NGO “Initiative of Regional Development and Cross-border Co-operation”, Transсarpathian Regional Federation of Kiokushin Karate and Sportclub Magnezit Ferona Kosice are going to organize International Festival and Seminar of Martial Arts, which will be held in the framework of the project “Extreme Sports for Better Life”, HUSKROUA/1001/043.

Date: June 14-16, 2013.

Venue: Zakarpattya regional palace of child and youth art (PADIUN), Studentska embarkment, 8, Uzhhorod, Ukraine.

Sportsmen from Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Slovakia will demonstrate the benefits of doing sports and active lifestyle. Branch President of the Czech Republic in Shydokan Karate Myroslav Konevych (3 dan) will hold seminar and master classes. The culmination of the 3-day event will be International Festival of Martial Arts, in which numerous clubs of martial arts will demonstrate their skills.

All events are open for visitors.

The 2 days event program comprises theoretical presentations, group discussions and practical lessons in the forest. The advanced trainings that will be conducted by the trainers trained in Slovakia in the framework of this project are aimed at the improvement of knowledge of forestry practitioners – forestry technicians and four year students - future foresters on close to nature forestry and multifunctional forest management. The theoretical part of the first training will take place in Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University for 20 participants and of the second training in Carpathian Regional Training Centre for 21 participants. The practical part for both trainings will take place in demonstration sample plot in Rosilyna forest range of State Enterprise “Solotvyno Forest Management Unit” of Ivano-Frankivsk Forest and Hunting Administration.

The training will take place on the territory of National Park “Zacharovanyy kray”. The duration of the training will be 2 days with 19 participants. The 2 days event program comprises theoretical presentations, group discussions and practical lessons in the forest.
