Tisa river rafting tour for the promotion of the HU-SK-RO-UA ENPI CBC Programme 2007-2013

The Joint Managing Authority of the HU-SK-RO-UA ENPI CBC Programme in co-operation with the Joint Technical Secretariat is organizing the major promotional event of our programme foreseen in 2010, namely Tisa river rafting tour which aims to promote the programme in general and especially the 2nd Call for Proposals in the programme eligible area.

This event covering all the four countries participating in the programme begins on 13th of July 2010 starting from Sighetu Marmaţiei (RO) and ends on 16th of July 2010 at village Veľké Trakany (SK) after crossing both Ukrainian and Hungarian parts of the river Tisa.

The draft programme of the event is the following:

15 July (Thursday) Tiszabecs (HU)-Vásárosnamény (HU) Main Hungarian promotional event and press briefing in Tiszabecs.
16 July(Friday) Vásárosnamény (HU)-Veľké Trakany (SK)  Main Slovak promotional event and press briefing in Veľké Trakany. 

 The purpose of this trip is to raise attention to the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENPI CBC programme and to pass the programme´s connection route – the spirit of the programme area – river Tisa as well as to visit the locations, where successful projects under the HU-SK-UA and RO-UA Neighbourhood Programmes 2004-2006 were implemented and projects awarded under 1st Call for Proposals of the HU-SK-RO-UA ENPI CBC programme 2007-2013 are going to be implemented.

During the trip the JTS team intends to raise the awareness of the local population, municipalities, authorities and press for the development possibilities ensured within the programme by introduction of the successful projects, distributing info-materials and holding press briefings in all four countries.

One of the main components of the whole promotional event is the signature of the first grant contracts within the ENPI CBC Programmes. The following three from the 47 winner projects will be contracted:

Project title: „Elaboration of documents for Cross-Border Industrial Park Creation with the Elements of Logistics– “Bereg-Karpaty”

Overall objective:
Improve a business infrastructure (through a created integrated cross-border industrial park) for enhancing development and cross-border cooperation of Ukrainian and Hungarian SMEs.
Specific objective:
Create a possibility to start the capital investment phase of integrated cross-border industrial park through the use of European experience.

Project title: „Bioenergy of the Carpathians”

Overall objective:
Increasing of the level of biomass energy development in UA-SK border regions. 
Specific objectives:
1. To improve possibilities of biomass potential utilization in UA-SK border regions.
2. To increase number of consumers and local/regional producers or suppliers of biomass energy equipment in Zakarpatska oblast

Project title: „European cradle”

Overall objective:
Decreasing the level of infant (up to 1 year) mortality and infant disablement on cross-border territory of Hungary and Ukraine.
Specific objectives:
1. To increase the percentage of infants’ recovery at children’s hospitals;
2. To decrease the level of postnatal infectious diseases of infants; and
3. To decrease percentage of infants’ birth traumas and anoxaemia of cerebrum.
