Overall objectives of the action

To attract tourists to the key touristic attractions in the region

Specific objectives of the action

1. To create a joint touristic product – the thematic route “The Places of Rákóczi’s Glory” 2. To improve the quality of tourist services at the stations of the route “The Places of Rákoczi’s Glory”

Estimated results

A touristic route developed in the field of historic tourism based on historic and cultural heritage of the Hungarian/Slovak/Ukrainian Carpathian region, that includes: - guide book (brand book) of the touristic route “The Places of Rákóczi’s Glory” – recommended selection with a detailed description of the touristic product to be used by tourism operators serving the “PRG” route (1 comprehensive research and recommendations for developer-users, 100 printed copies); - service providers trained at the stations of the touristic route involved potential service suppliers along the touristic route (30 trainees, 10 per each partners country); - promotion of the “PRG” touristic route (promotion of castles and historic tourism) by the publications: “PRG” tourist guide (5 languages, 4000 copies in total, distributed for each country in 5 languages), “PRG” tourist booklets (5 languages per 3000 copies each, 15000 copies in total, distributed 1000 of copies from each publication for the all partner countries); - promotion of the “PRG” touristic route by developing “PRG” video-film and photo presentation of the exhibition from Rákóczi museums in the target region (Video-film -20 min, digital format to be shown on media system set up in Mukachevo and Kosice, Photo-presentation – digital format in slide-show to be shown on the media system). - promotion of the “PRG” touristic route by 2 promotional tours along the stations of the touristic route for journalists and tourism operators: 1 – in EU countries (HU-SK), 30 people; 1 – in Ukraine, 30 people;. - Mukachevo at 900 sq.m. castle yard area; - 250 sq.m conference-hall equipped with media-presentation system in castle Palanok (Mukachevo); - 300 sq.m space of the Rákóczi exhibition rooms renovated in Palanok castle; - Feasibility Study done for enlargement and renovation of Rákóczi exhibition in Palanok castle; - Ferenc II. Rákóczi exposition renovated in Kosice (225 m2 in 8 rooms); - At least 4 new touristic animations dedicated to the theme of the touristic route created in castle Palanok (Mukachevo).
