Overall objective:

The overall objective of the Project is to increase border efficiency and to enhance cross-border cooperation through the development of the supporting infrastructure at border crossing points and strengthening cooperation between authorities responsible for border management at management and executive levels.

Specific objectives:

1. To Beregsurány – Luzhanka road BCP into the international road heavy traffic system.

2. To enhance the information exchange between HU - UA in the area of law enforcement with institutionalising and stabilising a cooperation system.

3. To ensure a more professional way of working methods and circumstances and to decrease waiting time for passengers.

4. To ensure highly qualified staff on the same professional level on both sides of the HU - UA border.

5. To enable border and customs control of tourist groups travelling on River Tisa.

Estimated results:

Development of Beregsurány – Luzhanka road border crossing point in order to establish similar infrastructure, capacity on both Hungarian and Ukrainian sides, establishment of Záhony CCP, improvement of technical, IT equipments on the established border crossing points. Well and equally trained professional staff of both HU – UA staff of border guard and customs. Establishment of temporary waterway BCP at Vylok.
