Project targets: |
For presentation, improvement and studying of approaches, models, mechanisms, and tools of effective governance in the conditions of the diversity of identities, local community leaders will be offered to take a training based on the positive thinking philosophy (‘Appreciative Inquiry’). After the training, the participants will work with the training materials and will share the acquired knowledge within their communities, will facilitate creative process of idea generation and will use the system approach towards effective dissemination of changes. |
Project results: |
The culminating event of the Project will be the Forum of leaders of local communities - “CELEBRATING THE DIVERSITY OF IDENTITIES AND INNOVATION”. The Forum participants will announce the ideals, values and principles, which will promote the growth of every individual as well as of the society in general, will offer projects of JOINT INPUT OF THE COMMUNITIES in the sustainable development, and the success formula will be based on building up a partnership with the states and private sector.
The Forum we be concluded by assembling the Carpathian Mosaic, when each participant will get answers to the following questions:
What is the input of your local community in the development of Europe, and what makes you feel proud the most?
Which role is played by our countries in the development of the humanity, and what makes you feel proud the most?
What impact has the EU had on the development of our region, and what do you feel grateful for?
The Forum will be concluded by the PARADE OF ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL PROJECTS, where the wealth of diversity and the unity of region will be demonstrated, its ideals and values; readiness of local communities to have dialogues adhering to the basic principles of modern governance, definition of coherence in activities for providing the COLLECTIVE INPUT in positive changes and sustainable development.
The Forum envisages the formation of partnerships in order to implement the innovation projects of social and economic development. Thus, we are planning to invite representatives of state authorities and territorial communities, education science and business to the Forum, who will become enthusiastic about reforms in the governance system toward smart, sustainable and inclusive growth in region through the presented innovations and projects.
While organizing the Forum, it is suggested to use the metaphor of ‘managing a symphony orchestra’, which is a union of various groups with their distinctive identity, as well as connection with baroque music and architecture - to display the wealth of cultural polyphony of the nations of the Carpathian region. The Forum participants will be offered to listen to a symphony orchestra, which will perform works by Carpathian region composers in a beautiful castle in Ukraine, which requires special attention from the society for its preservation and restoration. |

In the Project, it is suggested to take a look at the modern system of governance in communities through the prism of shared values and principles, guarantee of freedoms of DISCOVERED identities and comprehension of wealth of diversity in Carpathian region, finding of its unifying ideals – DREAM of the nations; DESIGN of the future of countries in the Pan-European strategy “Europe 2020: A strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth”. |
