Project targets: |
Target groups: disabled NGOs leaders, boarding houses teachers/administrators, social officers, education officers, employment officers, who working on labour advocacy & social accompaniment for disabled youth; journalists. Estimated number of direct beneficiaries is 3500 people. Final Beneficiaries: disabled youth. Age average is 14 – 25 years. Estimated number of final beneficiaries is 15,000 people. |
Project results: |
Project Outputs: - Disabled young people will receive an opportunity to learn about labour rights and employment issues, receive free legal aid, personal development training, social and psychological assistance; --- Disabled young people will be involved into local NGOs community, who will become a key element in meshes which are caring of social accompaniment in professional orientation, education and employment; mutual understanding, communication and opportunity to support of self-realization; - Target NGOs leaders, social workers, boarding houses administrators, employers & journalists will get knowledge, skills & practical experience in labour advocacy techniques for vulnerable youth; - Regional awareness raising initiatives will promote legal employment opportunities and will challenge negative stereotypes against disabled youth; Awareness raising campaign speed up the accelerating process of sustainable reforms in labour advocacy, diminishing illegal youth employment and social accompaniment systems for disabled youth on local and national level.
Expected Results: 400 key project leaders will be trained & ready to lead advocacy initiatives; 2,000 volunteers/ social workers will get knowledge & practical skills in labour advocacy, social accompaniment in professional orientation, education and employment for disabled youth; at least 50 local media professionals will improve their competence in labour advocacy; up to 3000 disabled young people will get personal development skills through participation in 50 personal development training; up to 1,500 disabled young people will get job orientation aid via participation in 30 Vacancy Fair Days; approximately 15 000 beneficiaries in 15 Ukrainian regions received opportunity to learn about their labour rights, they will be participants of professional orientation activities; 14 regional round tables combating labour discrimination with press – conferences; manual for trainers «Labour Advocacy : Disabled Youth Case» (1500 ps.) & information booklets(15,000 ps.); infromational posters (10000 ps.). against illegal employment will be produced and delivered.

Description: |
The Overall Goal of the Action is to improve the situation with economic and social rights rights of disabled youth via strengthening advocacy capacities of Slovakian & Ukrainian NGO’s, regional employment centres, education establishments, local employers and media in Ukraine and Slovakia. The mentioned goal shall be achieved through the realization of the following concrete objectives: - to promote equal rights and opportunities for disableed youth in personal development, professional orientation, social accompaniment in education and employment through long –term training program; enhancing labour advocacy via sub-granting local grassroots NGOs; - to support professional development of NGOs leaders, boarding houses staff, social officers from education and employment municipal services, journalists by extending their competencies in advocacy of labour rights, education access and social accompaniment for disadvantage youth; -to generate synergies & partnership between NGOs, employers, government and municipal social care agencies in developing public harm reducing campaigning & to prevent unemployment growth, and antisocial behaviour of disabled youth. |
