Project name: Management of biodegradable wastes in Baia Mare, Ivano Frankivsk and Szabolcs- Szatmar- Bereg areas

Project targets: Overall objective: Enhance the life quality for Baia Mare,Ivano Frankivsk and Vasarosnameny citizens by the Management of biodegradable wastes implementation in Baia Mare and Ivano Frankivsk cities
Project results: Estimated results:
1. partnersheep agreement among the three municipalities involved in the project
2. three specialised plants for compost production from biodegradable wastes - one in each city
3. 15.000 mc of green wasted collected and processed each year in Baia Mare
4. compost quantity – 4000 tones
5. informative campaign for the inhabitants of the three municipalities (60.000 flyers)
6. survey regarding the output of the project
7. new jobs created
8. 30 h of green spaces rehabilitated by treating them with compost from the recycling plant
9. The decrease in the amount of toxic gases released from the tip by reducing the risk of burning

Description: *The proposed investment foresees the implementation of a modern and eficient system for recycling the bio degradable wastes from Baia Mare municipality and the partner municipalities(firs using branches, leaves, grass resulted from the process of cleaning the green spaces from the city, then in another phaze after finalizing this project, through gathering wastes from private homes, centers of wood processing, centers which produce cartboard wrappers, bird farms and other privat farms, orchards, etc.)
Estimated budget: 522.207 euro with VAT
